Ireland - Part III

11:09 PM

All these adventures were too good not to share. Sorry there are so many instalments!
We found a small LDS branch in Coleraine. It would have been really nice if we had remembered that because we were in Northern Ireland, our UK phones would have worked, aka GPS. I don't know why it hadn't occurred to me until AFTER we were pretty nearly lost and almost missed sacrament meeting.

On our way out of Bushmills to attend our church meeting, we had passed by a castle on the coast. We drove back specifically to check it out. I'm so glad that we did!
Dunluce castle! We loved it!

Cave/moat under the castle

I climbed into what used to be the oven :)

Sick of coastline pictures yet??

We went to the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. Not for the faint of heart. We saw a mom crossing with her toddler who freaked out after two feet, froze, and had to get dragged back to the platform by her husband. It's 30 meters up but fairly short cross over to this tiniest of tiny islands. I guess the bridge is up for the fisherman to more easily maneuver their nets. It's also really beautiful as ALL Irish coast is.

We had our fun and then hopped in the car and headed to Belfast.
Jo and I were told that we HAD to go to Madden's for the traditional music we craved. Done! It was great but started soooo late for our tired bodies. They didn't really get rockin' until nearly 11. It would have been a different story if Taylor hadn't been flying home early the next morning and going straight to work. But it is small and music was great!

One more post and then I'm done with Ireland, I promise!
