Hyde Park on General Conference weekend

12:13 PM

It was a hazy Saturday in London but we got out and enjoyed the mild temperature before settling in to listen to LDS General Conference.

We had a lovely Afternoon Tea with some friends before walking through Hyde Park to the LDS Chapel on Exhibition Road.

It definitely doesn't feel like summer anymore but this cute pink ice cream truck sure makes me wish it did!

I love General Conference weekend. Messages that have been inspired and prepared for us, to guide, encourage and instruct are little gems of love and mercy from a loving Heavenly Father. I look forward to this weekend twice a year. It's such a special time to gather as a church and feel an abundance of spirit.

Walking home after the session, we were surprised to see that the Museum of Natural History is already preparing their Christmas lights! It is a darling place for outdoor ice skating once the weather turns. I am excited that October means more lights because the sun will start to set earlier and earlier.

Once January rolls around, sunset is around 4pm......yes, it's sad and makes me so sleepy all winter long.
