We fell in love the city immediately. It was all dressed up for Christmas and even though it was the coldest part of Portugal (which was still 30F degrees warmer than London so no love lost) 

Short story: FAIL. And guess what? Same thing happened when we tried to get a specific picture on this cute bench swing.
I know BENCH SWING! It could have been great...but I love this guy.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site from the coolest/scariest bridge

Across the top of Ponte Dom Luis I, there is little to zero barrier between the pedestrian path and the train. On the lower level, a narrow pedestrian path means two people can't comfortably pass in opposing directions. So you're always just THIS close to being hit by a car or train haha

We tracked down a recommendation along the Cais da Riberia for one of the many, many recipes for the dried cod that the Portuguese love so much.

One of the weirdest things I can't get over about the traditional Portuguese food is this: while there are over 350 dishes in which they prepare cod, they never have FRESH cod! Probably have never tried fresh cod ever. It's always salt dried cod. WHAAA? (Refer to my Lisbon post to see the photo of the dried cod)

This is the cod post-multiple water soaks to remove the majority of the salt, roasted with potatoes and crumbled cornbread with a generous amount of olive oil.
Very tasty but a different texture to the fish which needs no additional salt or flavouring.

Westminster to Greenwich on the River Thames for £8/each return! I think prices go up in the Summer but I recommend it! Westminster to Tower Bridge is all good but I got insanely excited that we went UNDER THE TOWER BRIDGE on this ride. #lifecomplete

London Bridge has fallen down, burned down and been torn down. The current London Bridge isn't that old.

Between Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf are some interesting riverside, remodeled old factories and such.... Some historic buildings of note but mostly this is the section of river where I rested my camera finger.

Old Royal Naval College, current home of University of Greenwich campus.
These two beautiful sections were designed by my favourite architect Sir Christopher Wren.
You can see a bit of the treeline on the hill back there where the Royal Observatory sits. The line that marks the beginning of time, Greenwich Royal Mean time's home.

I think we both concluded that for size and quality of food/stalls.......I can't believe I'm saying this.... but we prefer Greenwich to Borough Market!

In the end we got these dumplings ( AMAZING ), empanada to share, a Portuguese egg tart and a churro each. Happy mouths and bellies!

We picked out flavours like white pear, pineapple, mandarin and raspberry.
SOFTEST, powerfully sweet flavours.....for 1 million dollars! jk but seriously it was so much more expensive than I would've thought that we would pay for sweets. I have scrubbed the amount we paid from my mind. I wish only to keep the memory of how amazing the gummies were and forget the number of euros the sweet little ladies stole from us.

I have a special place in my heart for Borough Market in London...but this place blows BM out of the galaxy!

I had never seen barnacles before and I cannot imagine how they are edible but I am fascinated.

Such a great recommendation and we will definitely stop by next time we are in Barcelona.
